Sky Watch

I was out on a quiet country road one day
taking pictures of the wildflowers
when I looked up to see

an airplane's vapour trail
not one, but two
paths cutting across the sky,
bringing chaos and confusion for several minutes
until planes and trails vanished from sight,
leaving the sky peaceful once more
.

Grateful thanks to Tom of Welcome to Wiggers World for hosting Sky Watch Friday.

It is well known that we Portuguese once sailed the seven seas searching for new lands, wealth and adventures.
We were brave in those days and gave the world new worlds!

Luckily I don’t have to sail the big oceans on a small ship to sea the wonders of our world …
No Sir, I just need to check with Mr. Tom, the finest host there is, for a trip around the world with SKY WATCH TOURS and with a click here, a click there I am quickly in the USA, England, Brazil, Italy, China, Australia, Finland … well, everywhere.

And on each stop I come to see a little marvel of our world under a great sky!
Hope you can come and see my piece of the sky at lenses & visions

And those trails are leading us to great photos of yours!

I had to check to see where you are from--I declare I seen almost that exact same sky as seen in your next to the last photo. But I am in Indiana. and I really like that last photo a whole lot!

April: Even the manmade additions to the Sky can be beautiful.

Where was air traffic control when you needed them?

They left you with pretty pictures, though.

Humans are everywhere! Where can one find peace and quiet for sure. ;-) The bright side: the trails make for good photos.

Beautiful! I love the patterns that contrails make sometimes.

Wow, that first photo looks like a ghost plane or a giant ghostly whale in the sky.

Amazing photos - thanks!

Well, I guess even chaos can be beautiful. Wonderful series of shots. I especially like the first because the plane looks so unreal, the 4th and of course the last one and the restoration of peace.

I love those patterns in the sky! I noticed 2 myself yesterday. Even though it was quite windy they stayed straight as a stick for a long time!

Gosh, you're not kidding about the choas... I don't think I have seen so much of that in a long time. I have seen maybe two or three cross over at the most but you look like you have captured several... that really neat!

The X in the fourth one would have been great for ABC Wednesday! I like the return to the calmness of the sky. Very nice.

What a beautiful meadow at the bottom and yes, man interferes with the clouds too - but in the end, nature wins.
