"No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn."
~ Hal Borland

The snow melts rapidly on warm sunny days, and last Friday this thirsty chickadee had been busy catching water drops from the dripping eaves.

The pussy willows are one of the first signs of spring here. We saw these on our walk yesterday.

There are so many birds returning now. The robins were searching in amongst the kinnikinnick (bearberry) on a hill that we passed.

We've had a brief return to winter-ish weather here in S. Ontario the last few days but the worst is over. Lots of birds singing and mating and gathering nesting material. Spring is a busy time for Ma Nature's crew, isn't it?
You are having spring while we had snow the past two days! Some of our flowers look a little frazzled. The snow melted before I got any photos tho. Love pussy willows - they are my favorite sign of spring!
