Deer Family Foraging on the Hillside

It is overcast and raining this morning.  The deer made their way cautiously through the snow and brush, stopping often to feed.

A Sunny Morning

We woke up to milder temperatures this morning (-8°C).  We had two surprises. The first surprise was seeing the Red Fox again, but this time (s)he was curled up asleep farther down the hill. The second surprise was seeing this lone female Pine Grosbeak perched in the bushes.  We haven't seen the Grosbeaks for several months.
